If you’re using the desktop version of MYOB and have been putting off making the transition to the cloud-based version, it’s now time to take action. Making the switch to MYOB Live is of critical importance for anyone using payroll due to the introduction of Single Touch Payroll
For desktop users, the bad news is that from September 2019, MYOB will no longer provide support for people using the desktop version of its software. So, how does single touch payroll work? Well, from July 1, 2019, all businesses will be required to electronically report salaries and wages, PAYG withholding and superannuation information each time you pay your employees, directly from your payroll solution. This change came into effect for businesses with 20 or more employees from July last year, and from July this year it will apply to smaller businesses as well.
If you wait until July 1 to make the change, it will be too late. It’s important that you are compliant-ready before the end of the financial year, which is why AR Advisors is offering clients access to a free MOB Live data file until June 30 to help you get ready for the transition.
